CUBE-LAB#license smart sync local
  1. The process seems to be that the Gateway uploads to DLU to the SSM On Prem.
  2. The SSM ON Prem then has to sync to cloud to get it verified.
  3. Once the Licenses appears on the cloud - you need another sync for it to appear on SSM ON Prem
  4. And then I assume a further sync from the gateway so it knows it has been successful?

You can spend this process up by doing manually syncs.

Upgrade Steps (from V7 or higher) to latest V8

Note: Install Guides are included in the upgrade zip file. Download the latest v8 version and extract. It also contains the upgrade.sh and upgrade.sh.sha256 files - which you copy to the server - as per below steps.

Note: As part of SSM On-prem upgrade, stale data is cleaned up from older releases. This process might take several hours, SSM On-prem upgrade will not complete until this clean up is complete. SSH session will be timed out, you will be logged out of the terminal and On-prem won’t respond (both GUI port and product port) until upgrade completes.

ssh admin@<your ip address>
onprem-console
copy <your username>@<your remote host.com>:/path/SSM_On-Prem-8-202302_upgrade.sh patches:
copy <your username>@<your remote host.com>:/path/SSM_On-Prem-8-202302_upgrade.sh.sha256 patches:
upgrade patches:SSM_On-Prem-8-202302_Upgrade.sh

After the system has completed the upgrade (approximately 5-15 minutes), you are notified that the process is complete. At this point the system automatically reboots. NOTE: If the system does not automatically reboot, manually reboot your system.

Once the reboot has completed, perform a synchronization on the system.
