EN 301 549 and WCAG EN 301 549: Accessibility requirements for ICT products and services is the official EU accessibility standard. EN 301 549 explicitly incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level AA for web content, software, and electronic documents. So while the Act says “meet the accessibility requirements”, in practice, compliance = following EN 301 549, which = WCAG 2.1 AA (for web/digital).
